For Katrina, a great friend who loves tea, the color red, and sewing (yup, it's a pincushion)!I don't own the little pellets they recommend to weigh it down so I used pea gravel!

I have been crocheting on and off for years. A friend’s mom taught me to crochet a bit in grade school over 25 years ago, but I hadn’t done anything with it until a few years ago when I re-taught myself using a simple book. I have crocheted baby blankets for my children and completed a handful of other small projects. I love all things crafty but I don’t do near as much as I used to now that I have three children under the age of 6. Crocheting is the perfect craft for my life right now, relax in my recliner after the kids go to bed and stitch up some great things for them to wear, use, and play with!

Thanks for the playtime info, unfortunately it does conflict with swimming. there are a lot of great things that are coming out of this swimming-everyday-thing but it does limit us for other stuff. Abby LOVES it and would probably say no to anything else if it meant missing a lesson! she didn't even like missing one to go to the lake last week!

ReplyDeleteya, I wish I could take credit for this one but it's not my creation. anything could be made into a pincushion though, hmmmmm, I will have to start "creating" my own!
